Colorado License: LPC.0021084, ATR#22-154

I’m a therapist, art therapist and someone who knows what it's like to carry a lot. Navigating anxiety, depression, fluctuating self esteem, complex trauma, grief, being late diagnosed ADHD and holding a creative inner world that doesn't always fit neatly into everyday life. I didn't just study this, I've lived it. I feel honored to support my clients in processing your own unique journey to healing.

In my free time, I’m often immersed in my work as a visual artist, continuing to build connection and meaning through creative expression. You can usually find me tending to my plants, spending time with friends and loved ones, or outdoors—hiking, camping, or relaxing by the river (I’ll happily take any excuse to be in the fresh air). On the weekends, I’m likely wandering a farmer’s market, thrifting, reading or enjoying local live music.

I’m Caitlin (she/her) a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Art Therapist practicing in Colorado.

I believe real healing comes from understanding yourself — not just managing what’s hard. I work best with those craving to know themselves, challenge themselves and create long lasting change.

In my practice, I support individuals from teens through later adulthood (age ranges served: 16yrs old to age 65yrs old) navigating everything from anxiety and burnout to complex trauma and PTSD. I have supported my clients in various areas of life stressors, including but not limited to:

  • Grief Processing

  • Job loss and/or career transitions

  • Breakups or separation

  • Personal health changes or physical injury

  • School and University Commencements

  • Financial Stress

  • Relationship Conflict

  • Personal Identity Exploration

  • and much more!

who I Support

style in sessions

In terms of my style, I like sessions to feel warm, friendly and direct. I believe therapy is most effective when we’re willing to explore history, notice patterns, and gently challenge what may no longer be serving you. I’ll offer reflections, ask questions, and share observations, but I don’t give advice or tell you what you should do. I see you as the expert on your own life — I’m here to offer additional guidance and a fresh set of tools as you navigate things.

I encourage all of my clients to advocate for their needs in sessions — whether that’s coming in with a specific topic you want to focus on, asking for more structure or more open processing, or talking about scheduling and session frequency. If something isn’t working, I want us to be able to talk about that openly. Overall, my goal is to create a space that feels supportive, honest, and flexible — where we can both build skills and explore deeper patterns at a pace that feels right for you.

my therapeutic approach

In my work, I place a strong emphasis on the connection we build together, creating a space where you can show up as yourself and feel truly seen. My approach to therapy is rooted in understanding how your past experiences, relationships and systems have shaped who you are today. I believe that integrating both “top-down” and “bottom-up” approaches to therapy supports a fuller mind-body connection, creating space for deeper awareness, regulation and connection to your every day life. I offer a space where talk and creativity work together to get to what words alone can't reach.

My therapeutic orientation is holistic and relational, while maintaining a focus in person centered-expressive therapy modalities. I additionally pull from strengths-based, emotion-focused, attachment-based and behavioral therapeutic approaches, while implementing a trauma informed and social justice framework to client experiences-  because who you are, where you came from and the world you live in all belong in the room.

A bit more about each approach or framework below:

  • Holistic therapy looks at the whole person—mind, body, and emotions—rather than focusing on just one part of your experience. It supports healing by considering how different areas of your life are connected and working together to restore balance.

  • Relational therapy focuses on how your relationships—past and present—shape the way you see yourself and connect with others. The relationship we build in therapy also becomes a meaningful space to explore trust, patterns, and new ways of relating.

  • This approach is guided by you, your needs, and your pace, while incorporating creative expression as a way to explore your inner world. It offers a supportive space to process emotions through both conversation and creativity, helping you connect more deeply with yourself.

  • Strengths-based therapy focuses on your existing strengths, resilience, and inner resources rather than just challenges or problems. Together, we build on what’s already working to support growth, confidence, and meaningful change.

  • Emotion-focused therapy helps you better understand, experience, and process your emotions in a safe and supportive way. By working through emotions rather than avoiding them, you can create lasting change and feel more connected to yourself and others.

  • Attachment-based therapy explores how early relationships and attachment patterns influence how you connect, trust, and feel safe with others. It helps you build more secure, fulfilling relationships by understanding and reshaping these patterns.

  • Behavioral therapy focuses on identifying and changing patterns in your actions that may be keeping you stuck. It provides practical tools and strategies to help you build healthier habits and create positive change in your daily life.

In my career, I am dedicated to consistently expanding my knowledge of therapy tools, gain additional trainings and or certifications to help provide my clients with a range of services best suited for their needs.
