Frequently Asked Questions

I know we’ve covered a lot of information! To help make things a bit easier, I’ve included some FAQs to support you as you navigate finding the therapist who feels like the best fit for you.

No Surprises act and good Faith Estimates

Under the No Surprises Act, all healthcare providers are required to provide a written estimate of expected charges, or a “Good Faith Estimate” (GFE), to clients who do not have insurance or clients who choose not to use their insurance for services. If you receive therapy services using your insurance, your financial responsibility will depend on your individual plan (such as copays, deductibles, or coinsurance). I encourage you to contact your insurance provider directly to better understand your coverage and any out-of-pocket costs.

My practice is committed to transparency in all fees. Before beginning services, we will review:

  • Session fees

  • Insurance use (if applicable)

  • Cancellation and no-show policies

Your rights:

  • You can request a Good Faith Estimate at any time

  • If your final bill is $400 or more above your estimate, you have the right to dispute the charge

Good Faith estimates are based on the information available at the time and does not include unexpected or unknown costs that may arise during treatment (ex: case management, professional consultation, parent phone calls, etc.). You are always welcome to ask questions about costs at any time. I believe in transparency and collaboration when it comes to your care—including financial clarity—so you can make informed decisions that feel supportive and sustainable.
